Improv for Kids
Learn how to honor your instincts and think on the spot by playing improv games. You’ll practice with scene partners and develop a "yes, and" mentality! We’ll start with warm up games like zip-zap-zop, tongue twisters, and the game one word story. We’ll try out some short form improv games like freeze tag, where we "freeze" a scene, then new players assume the position of the actor they are "tapping out" and start a new scene with that pose. Depending on the age group, there will also be opportunities for longer form improv or song related games for a younger age group.
